Manager, Engineering
Our studio is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their rapidly expanding team in San Francisco! This position will work with our busy game studios to manage and develop a team of software developers, while collaborating with the Senior Producer, and CTO to establish engineering goals. This position will be located in San Francisco.

Responsibilities:
Manage and develop team of software developers including off-shore contract engeering
Coordinate hiring and staffing needs
Manage communication of goals and objectives and status/progress of development process
Work with the Producers, Product Managers, and the CTO to establish and communicate engineering goals, objectives, and milestones to the team
Manage, coordinate, and control the delivery of tools and features
Collaborate with leadership team to continuously manage trade-offs between scope, resources and time during the development lifecycle
Overseeing documents including status reports, development plans, communications plans and post-mortems
Required Skills:
Experience managing technical staff and software engineers - including hiring and performance management (reviews, feedback)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with managing the development of LAMP stack applications (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
Ability to identify and solve problems creatively without guidance
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is required
Superior time management and organizational skills are essential
Bachelors or Masters of a recognized program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related discipline is preferred
Experience in Information Technology, specifically web application development is required
Experience with Agile Development process a major plus
