I can't figure out HOW to contact game companies about maybe writing music for their games. NONE have any requirements on their web page job boards. They look for graphic artists and modelers and C++ programmers and all that, but they NEVER look for musicians!!!!
Most games require many programmers and artists but only 1-2 musicians, so they do not post the positions very often. Also, many games license music instead of creating it internally.

Game developers usually only list in-house audio positions and they are very rare. Your best bet is to contact the music supervisors, audio directors, or creative directors. Let them know you are a freelance composer/sound designer and you would like to be considered for any audio needs they may have. There are also great resources out there like www.audiogang.org and www.gamasutra.com. Hope this helps.
